Blog Candy Winner!

Good Morning Stamp Friends!

I want to thank everyone who took the time to leave a comment. I really enjoyed reading them. I think we're all going to miss at least a couple of the In-colors that we'll be losing. Hopefully, we'll fall in love with the new In-Colors as well.

Here are the results from Random.org.

The winner is Margaret! She said: "I too love those colors. I am a new demo, so I decided to buy a few pack of that paper. Those colors goes with so many of the DSP. Hate to see them go".

Congratulations Margaret on winning and joining the Stampin' Up! family. I've been a demo for 2 1/2 years and I've loved every minute of it:) Please click on "Contact Me" just under my blog banner and send me your mailing address, so I can get your stamp set out to you.

I will be back soon as I have a couple Easter cards I'd like to share, I was given a blog award, and I have a card to share using the new Bright Blossoms stamp set and Summer Smooches DSP. I LOVE this new DSP. If you've been following my blog, you know that I'm a BIG fan of the Brights color family.

I hope you all had a beautiful Easter. We took our 2 boys and dog to Chesapeake Beach. We couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous day here in Maryland. Today looks to be a lot like yesterday, though it's a bit windy this morning:)

Have a great day!!!

Welcome & another Blog Candy Giveaway:)

Hello stamp friends!

I would like to apologize for my absense lately. I have been stamping, but was also busy getting all of my tax papers in order and finally had my taxes done last weekend. I'm so glad that's over with!

I have some good news to share. A few weeks ago, my friend and customer, TJ decided to take the plunge and she joined the Stampin' Up! family. TJ is my second recruit. I'm so excited that she will now be ble to attend the demo only events with our group:)

Welcome, TJ!!!

Last year, while at Convention... we received a stamp set for completeing all of our classes. It's called Workshop Words. I remembered there being a stamp in the set to welcome new recruits. I had also seen an adorable card when visiting Kay Kalthof's blog and decided to case it, but changed the sentiment to the one in the Workshop Words set as a Welcome card for TJ. Thank you Kay for sharing your beautiful work:)

.
Blog Candy Alert!!!

I know I had promised to do another blog candy giveaway for my birthday. Well, my birthday was the 24th, so I'm a bit late, but nevertheless I'm keeping my word! So for a chance to win this brand new clear-mount Afterthoughts stamp set, please leave a comment telling me how you feel about losing the 5 in-colors (Blushing Bride, Concord Crush, Peach Parfait, Pear Pizzazz & Poppy Parade). I'm so sad to see them go. They have to be my favorite set of in-colors ever! Poppy Parade was my absolute favorite!
The deadline for this drawing will be Sunday, April 8th at midnight. I will use Random.org to decide the winner and will make the announcement on Monday morning.

Thanks so much for playing along and I hope you have a great day!

Kay's Easter Bunny

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today I would like to share a card that I made using Kay Sha's Easter Bunny Tutorial. Check out her tutorial here. I've been wanting to make one since I saw this last year, but never had a chance. I wasn't about to let it get away from me again this year:) Thank you to Kay for sharing the directions to make this adorable little guy!

Supplies Used: (Besides the bunny, which are listed in Kay's tutorial)

Stamps: Eggcoutrements
Ink: Listed in Kay's tutorial
Paper: Marina Mist, Old Olive, Whisper White & Ice Cream Parlor DSP (last years SAB DSP)
Other: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings embosslits Die, Punches (1 3/8 & Designer Label), glue dots & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Isn't he just adorable? It just goes perfect with the weather we're having today. It's almost 70 degrees here in Maryland, with a nice breeze. It certainly looks to be a gorgeous day. I think I will take Tebow for a walk, since he's sitting here starting at me with that "Are you going to take me for a walk?" look on his face. He has those sad little eyes, which make it impossible to say no. LOL!

I hope you have a great day!

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today, I would like to share a Journal that I took to a gathering a couple weeks ago. I cased this journal by Sharlene Meyer here. If you've never seen her work, you've got to check it out! The only things I did differently, is I took the ring off of the book, so I could cover the whole thing. I cut the card stock 5 1/4" x 5 1/4", then traced the two wholes closest to the ends with pencil. Then I used the retired Stampin' Up! Spiral Border punch to punch the wholes. (The only confusing thing, was trying to put it back together once I got it covered:) Then I glued the card stock to the chipboard album using the Anywhere Glue Stick. The only other thing I did differently is, I used the Timeless Type alphabet Medium Sizzlits dies to make the initials of the first names of the people attending. I wanted to personalize them a bit. Everyone loved them. Thanks Sharlene for sharing your beautiful work:)

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Fresh Vintage
Paper: Pool Party, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Whisper White, & Everyday Elegance DSP
Ink: Poppy Parade Classic Ink Pad & Peach Parfait, Pool. Party & Lucky Limeade Markers
Other: Big Shot, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Scallop Square Clear Bigz die, Timeless Type Medium Sizzlits die, 5 x 5 On Board Art Journal, Everyday Enchantment ribbon & brads, Basic Rhinestones & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Fresh Vintage Stamp set, Everyday Enchantment DSP & Everyday Enchantment Ribbon & Brad Pack are all items that you can choose for free with a $50 order. Sale-A-Bration continues through March 31, 2012. Don't miss out!

Thanks so much for coming by and I hope you have a wonderful week:)
