Santa Tag

Hello Stamp Friends!

I'm sorry for the delay in this post. I received an order to make Christmas cards for someone, so I had to get those done and in the mail!

I'm back today with another adorable project that I saw on Pinterest. Check out this adorable Santa by Leonie Schroder! She had it mounted on the front of a Hamburger Box. I chose to use mine as a gift tag. I wasn't able to obtain the supply list, so it took me a while to figure it out. I'm not 100% sure I used the same supplies, but they work:)

Supplies Used:

Petal Cone Die (retired)- hat & beard
Square Framelits Dies- largest for hat brim
Mustache Framelit- mustache
Oval Framelits- 3rd smallest for face
7/8" Scallop Circle punch- ball on hat
3/4" Circle punch- nose
1/2" Circle punch- eye whites
Itty Bitty Punch Pack Circle (retired)- pupils

Once I figured out what to use, he was simple to put together and just adorable! Thanks Leonie for sharing your darling Santa on Pinterest!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you'll come back to see what other great finds I found on Pinterest!

Thanksgiving card....Really?

Good morning stamp friends!

I just realized that I forgot to share a really cute Thanksgiving card that I cased back in November. I know it's almost crazy to post it now with everyone posting their Valentine's Day creations, but I thought it was definitely worth sharing:)

I cased Alex's card from Alex's Creative Corner. I changed it a tad, adding a punch art pumpkin and did my sentiment a little differently. Isn't he just the cutest? Thank you Alex for sharing your awesome creation!!!

Again, I apologize for sharing this so late. Sometimes it just seems like I'm not playing with a full deck! It's all good! I'm a happy, forgetful stamper! LOL!

I thank you for coming by and I hope you have a terrific day!!!

Baby Shower Ensemble

Good Morning Stamp Friends and Happy Friday!!!

Today I would like to share some projects that I made for my neighbors baby shower. We originally planned to have the shower in September, but the baby just couldn't wait for it. So we postponed it until October 20th. Since I knew the baby's name, I was able to make a banner with her name. Her name is 11 letters long! It took me a couple days to make the banner. I got so many compliments on it. Sorry for the blurry photo:(

Here's a close-up of one of the letters so you can see the details.

Next, I made a card that I had cased before from LeAnn Greff. I just love her punch art duck! I made the favors first and they looked kind of plain to me, so I decided to make a mini version of the duck to put on the favors.

Supplies Used:

Banner:
Paper: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, So Safrron, Early Espresso & Love Birds Simply Sent Kit (Retired)
Other: Big Shot, Apothecary Art Framelits, Labels Collection Framelits, Designer Frames Embossing Folders, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Typeset Alphabet Bigz dies, Circle punches (1", 3/4" & 1/2") & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Favor:
Paper: Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, So Safrron, Early Espresso & Love Birds Simply Sent Kit (Retired)
Other: Big Shot, Matchbox die (Retired), Labels Collection Framelits, Punches (3/4" & 1/2" Circles, Cupcake Builder, Blossom Petals Builder (beak-skinny end of smallest petal), Owl Builder (pupil of eye), & Itty Bitty Punch pack, Basic Rhinestones, 5/8" Whisper White Organza ribbon & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Card: See LeAnn's Blog for the punches used on the duck.
Stamps:
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Whisper White, Blushing Bride, So Safrron, Early Espresso & Love Birds Simply Sent Kit (Retired)
Other: Big Shot, Island Blossoms Bigz Die (Retired), Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Punches (2 1/2" Circle, Large Oval, Scallop Oval Small Heart & Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border) & Stampin' Dimensionals©

The baby's mother loved everything that I made and she said she was going to hang the banner in the baby's room:) I wish I was better at taking pictures. The photos really don't do them justice:(

Thanks so much for coming by today and I hope your weekend is great!!!

Punch Art RAK

Hello Stamp Friends!

Happy Monday! It's not only a normal Monday here, but school starts here in Anne Arundel County today. Or at least it does for my youngest son. He will be starting 4th grade. My oldest son will be starting Middle School tomorrow. We went to both of their orientations last Thursday. My youngest seems to be happy after meeting his teacher and finding out he has several friends from previous years in his class. It was overwhelming for me going to the Middle School. The size of the place alone has me worried. There are 3 floors in this school! I'm a little emotional seeing my first born starting this phase in his life. I just hope he adjusts quickly. I hope he doesn't get lost in that labyrinth! LOL! I just told him not to stress and just to ask the nearest teacher if he gets lost. His first 4 classes are held in two rooms. (The teachers actually switch classes! How cool is that?!) They are very close to each other, so that makes me feel a little better. It's just the last two classes that he will have to move to other floors. I'm sure he'll be fine once he gets it down. We did bump into a few of his friends and their parents, so at least he won't be all alone in a new school.

Today, I would like to share a card that my upline sent to me. Isn't this adorable? I love punch art and these ladybugs are too cute! Thank you so much Kathy! I love it!!!

Well, with the boys going back to school, I will have more time to get some overdue cards done! I had a great summer with the boys, but am ready to get back into a routine. It's been a pretty hot summer here in Maryland, so I'm so ready for the Fall. It's my favorite time of the year!

Anyway, thanks for coming by and I hope you have a great day!

Happy Easter!

Hello Stamp Friends and Happy Easter to you!

I have two Easter cards to share with you. The first one is a case of a card I saw on Tiara Helen's blog. I know she also cased it and I've seen several other versions of this card. So it's a compilation of all of them! I hope you like it:)

And the inside...

Next is a card that I made using the "Ears To You" single stamp. I love this stamp! I chose a DSP that had "Spring" colors and then I stamped the image in a few colors from the DSP. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set "Easter Blossoms". I love that it fit perfectly in the oval punch, which I layered inside the scallop oval punch. I got the idea for the little flowers from several other cards that I've seen. I just love the way this card turned out.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Ears To You & Easter Blossoms (retired)

Paper: Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White & Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP

Ink: Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight & Basic Grey

Other: Large Oval, Scallop Oval & Itty Bitty Punch pack punches, Ovals Collection Framelits, 3/8" Striped Organdy Melon Mambo ribbon, Basic Rhinestones & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Thanks so much for coming by today and I hope you have a beautiful Easter!

Kay's Easter Bunny

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today I would like to share a card that I made using Kay Sha's Easter Bunny Tutorial. Check out her tutorial here. I've been wanting to make one since I saw this last year, but never had a chance. I wasn't about to let it get away from me again this year:) Thank you to Kay for sharing the directions to make this adorable little guy!

Supplies Used: (Besides the bunny, which are listed in Kay's tutorial)

Stamps: Eggcoutrements
Ink: Listed in Kay's tutorial
Paper: Marina Mist, Old Olive, Whisper White & Ice Cream Parlor DSP (last years SAB DSP)
Other: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings embosslits Die, Punches (1 3/8 & Designer Label), glue dots & Stampin' Dimensionals©

Isn't he just adorable? It just goes perfect with the weather we're having today. It's almost 70 degrees here in Maryland, with a nice breeze. It certainly looks to be a gorgeous day. I think I will take Tebow for a walk, since he's sitting here starting at me with that "Are you going to take me for a walk?" look on his face. He has those sad little eyes, which make it impossible to say no. LOL!

I hope you have a great day!

My Christmas card

Hello stamp friends!

Sorry it's been so long. It's been a busy holiday season. I started on my Christmas cards before Thanksgiving and was off to a good start. Then the weekend following Thanksgiving, I learned that one of my favorite cousins had passed away. After attending the wake and the funeral, I was so down and didn't do much of anything for a week. Then I had to force myself to snap out of it, so I could get my cards done and make the season as memorable as I could for my boys.

We did as much as we could to make it a great Christmas. We took the boys to Gaylord's ICE. The theme for this year was Merry Madagascar. It was super cute and the kids loved it! We all did:)

During the season we also took the kids to the movies on three separate occasions. We saw "Authur Christmas", "The Muppets" (My hubby actually took them to this one. I stayed home to work on my cards:) & "Alvin & The Chipmunks: Chipwreked". We also took them to the "Festival of Lights", which is a drive-thru Christmas display that we do every year.

Here is my Christmas card, which I mass produced. I made 80 of them! I know...you're probably thinking I'm nuts and at times I thought I was too! LOL! They were very time consuming, but I really wanted to do it. I got so many compliments on them, which really made me feel good. Despite all of the layers, I didn't have to pay any additional postage to mail them:) I got the idea for this angel after seeing an MDS version on Janet Wakeland's blog here. But I wasn't sure if the punches would work the same until I saw Beth Rush's angel here. Thank you so much ladies for the inspiration:)

Supplies Used:

Stamps: The Sounding Joy & Contempo Christmas
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold, Vellum Card stock, & Frostwood Lodge DSP
Ink: Cherry Cobbler & Encore Silver
Other: Punches: ( (Dotted Scallop Ribbon border, 3/4" Circle, Small Oval, Owl Builder, Petite Pennants Builder), Big Shot & Supplies: Petals-a-Plenty Textured Impressions embossing folder, Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslits die, & Lots Of Tags Sizzlits die set) Silver EP, Cherry Cobbler 3/8" Quilted Satin ribbon, Basic Rhinestones & dimensionals

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! Wishing you and yours a Happy New Year!

Blog Candy Winner!

Good morning Stamp friends! Happy Monday!

I used Random.org this morning to determine the winner of my 2nd Anniverary Blog Candy giveaway. Here are the results:

The winner is: Annie Lee who said:

Yikes! I have no clue what my first set was. I know when I was introduced to SU, I went nuts over the catty, and just about bought everything in it! Ha! I still have some of those earlier sets!

Annie- I definitely know what you mean about going nuts over the catty. I bought my first stamp set, "Trick or Treat", in 2006 and I'm just as enthousiastic about stamping today as I was then. Please send me your address and I will get the stamp set out to you:) Thanks to everyone that left comments and I'm very excited to have some new followers. Welcome to my blog!

Today I would like to share the cards that we made the week before last. Our little group gets together once a week to make cards. Sometimes we do case cards, so I wanted to mention that incase I show a card that was cased on my blog. If I do not give you credit, it's because I don't know who the original artist is. So if you see one of your cards on my blog, please e-mail me so I can give the credit where it's due:)

I cased this card from Cristena Bagne. I love her work! She's got some of the best punch art I've ever seen! You will see her card here.

Becky
She did say that she cased this card. If it's yours, please let me know:)

Kathy

Aren't they beautiful cards? The owls took the longest to make. Those little flowers are tidious, but so worth it!
