Mixed Bunch Congrats card

Good Morning Stamp Friends!!!

Happy Sunday to you! So far, I'm having a nice weekend. We went to Chuck E. Cheese's yesterday to celebrate my nieces 7th birthday. Happy Birthday, Alexa! While we were there, the storms came and it was scary for a while. We were under a tornado warning a one point, but luckily, all turned out well-with the exception of losing a huge portion of our tree at home. We'll be cleaninig up that mess today.

Here is a card that I made when we went away for a few days. I always like to take something with me and that can be quite a challenge. As you already know, card making is one of those crafts that take up a lot of space, so how do you narrow down something to take on a trip? Once again, I started with the DSP. I chose Comfort Cafe. Then I grabbed a couple sheets of each of the coordinating colors of card stock, ink pads & ribbon. I grabbed a couple stamp sets that I thought would work, the coordinating punch for Mixed Bunch and for embellishments, I brought the In-Color Dahlias. Here is what I came up with:

Supplies Used-

Stamps:
Mixed Bunch & Itty Bitty Banners

Paper:
Soft Suede, Midnight Muse, Very Vanilla & Comfort Café DSP

Ink:
Midnight Muse

Other:
Punches (Fancy Flower & ¾”Circle), Midnight Muse 3/8” Stitched Satin Ribbon, In-Color Dahlias & Stampin’ Dimensionals©

Not too bad for a card with limited supplies! What do you think?

Well, I'm off to make pancakes for the boys and then I plan to get some organizing and cleaning done in my craft room, so I can be productive this week. I just participated in a Fall card swap, so I have a lot of cool cards to share with you. Please come back tomrorow to see what I made using the Frightening Feline stamp.

I hope you have a great day!

Mixed Bunch Get Well

Hello Stamp Friends!

Sorry it's been a while since my last post. First I had to get cards done for a swap and then I had to make 3 projects for another stamp date.

Today, I would like to share the card that I made for the swap. I got the idea for this card from Jennifer Weide (Sunflower Stamper). I fell in love with her card when I saw it and thought I'd do my best to change it, but try to live up to the beauty of the origina card:) I chose to use In-Colors for the flowers and proceeded to stamp the boldest flower in the mixed bunch stamp set. I'm not sure what the problem was, but I couldn't get a clean image, even after sanding the block, etc. So I had to make it using the punch with the card stock. I was able to get a nice flower center, so I punched them out and added some pearls. It still looked a little plain to me, so I just used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder to add some texture to the layer in the background. I got a lot of compliments on it, so that made me really happy.

More Mixed Bunch cards

Hello Stamp Friends!

I shared this card on my blog on January 10th.

I liked the card, but felt it needed a layer to separate the DSP from the Whisper White card stock with the sentiment. So I decided to make another one. Well, I wound up making two and changed them a bit. I left the ribbon off. Not sure if that was the right move or not. What do you think?

Cards to share!

Hello Stamp Friends!

This past weekend, I went to a meeting hosted by my up-line, Kathy and I wanted to share the beautiful Make & Takes we made. Since she just got back from Leadership, her downline each brought a card for everyone to make. The last one was made by Kathy herself.

Becky F.

Britta W.

Linda M.

Kathy W.

I love them all! Aren't they gorgeous? I always have the best time going to meetings. There's nothing better than Stampin' with friends:)

If you have any questions about the products used, please don't hesitate to contact me! Don't forget to check out the Promotions page at the top of my blog. I know the Navigation Bar is a little ugly right now (as the titles are jammed together). I'm in the process of getting help with that, but they do work:)

Thanks for coming by and I hope your day is great!
