Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year Stamp Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! 2012 was a great year for me and my family. I had hoped to become better at blogging, but again my posts were very inconsistent. I didn't make any New Year's resolutions, because I fail miserably and want to kick myself, so I will do the best I can. One thing I'm very excited about, is Blogger has an app now for the iPad. I'm hoping that will help me with my posts. This is my first try at it:)

A few months ago, I saw these adorable owls made by Heather Summers on Pinterest. Click on her name to see her owls:) I thought they were so cute and I decided to case them and and made an anniversary card for my husband. I actually made this card in October, but didn't get a chance to share it. So here it is!

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Forever (retired single stamp)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride, Basic Black & Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Other: Punches, (Bird Builder, 1 3/8", 1 1/4" & 1" Circles, & flower from Itty Bitty punch pack), Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits & Woodgrain embossing folder

Please let me know what you think and thanks for coming by today. I hope you have a great day!!!

Designer Cuts Anniversary Card

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today I made another card using the Designer Cuts cards from the new Occasions Mini. I made this one for my parents anniversary. I got the idea for the Basic Rhinestones from Monica Weaver's blog here. (Thanks for the inspiration, Monica!)

I chose to use Cherry Cobbler and when I stamped the sentiment the first time, it was right onto the card. It came out too light, so I used the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to try and make it darker, but I didn't realize that I got ink on the imaging sheet, which made a small smudge on the card. Darn it!!!! LOL! So I decided to cover it up with the Modern Label punch using Cherry Cobbler card stock and then stamped the sentiment again on Very Vanilla card stock. I punched it out with the Word Window punch and you can't even tell that a mistake was made. I love the way this turned out:)

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Designer Cuts cards, Cherry Cobbler  & Very Vanilla
Ink: Cherry Cobbler
Other: Punches (Modern Label & Word Window) Fashionable Hearts Embosslits die, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon, Trinket Key, Basic Rhinestones

Thanks for coming by and have a great day!
